Mumbai, (UNI) : Mahesh Tapase Chief Spokesperson of the NCP on Wednesday said that, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat recently in an interview proclaimed that Muslims have nothing to fear in India and barely within 24 hours of his statement the home of a prominent Muslims leader and Ex Minister of the NCP Hasan Mushrif’s house and establishment is raided by ED in Pune and Kolhapur.

Mr Tapase in his statement issued after the raids conducted by ED stated that the BJP has been constantly using the central government agencies against leaders of the MVA in a bid to weaken the MVA alliance and to woo the leaders into BJP, he alleged.

“Is it not ironical that that some leaders of the BJP make press statements about future ED raids and while it so happens just like that”, he said.

“What happened to all the allegations against MLAs and MPs who are now backing the Shinde Fadanvis government?. BJP had alleged corruption by these leaders. Has the ED/ IT closed its investigation and given them acquittal as nobody in BJP seems to talk about it any more or is it a matter of quid pro quo,” he asked.

It may noted that Mr Mushrif was third leader who facing ED action after former ministers Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik.
