New Delhi : Maggi, which we know as ‘Two Minute Noodles’, is famous worldwide today and is also favorite among the people of every age. In India, there is huge demand of Maggi.But do you know what is the history of the Maggi and why it was named Maggi?

Well, the story of Maggi in India started in the year 1983. Nestle India Limited launched Maggi noodles in India, but before that it was very popular in foreign countries. Maggi noodles were first introduced in Germany in 1897.

The maker of the Maggi noodles was named Julius Michael Johannes Maggi. He was from Switzerland. Maggi’s name was named after him. The story behind making it is also very interesting. Actually, in the year 1884, Julius started selling products made of flour, but his business did not do much, after which in 1886 he thought that he would make foods that can be cooked quickly. This is where the journey of Maggi started.

Gradually Maggi invented by Julius made her mark in the market. At that time the government of Switzerland also helped him in this work. In addition to Maggi, Julius also introduced a variety of flavored soups to the market and they all became very popular.

By the year 1912, the products made by Julius Maggi had made their mark in many countries like America and France. Although Maggie’s credibility had little difference after his death, but it continued for many years. Later in 1947, Nestle bought ‘Maggi’, after which it became famous in India and became a famous food of every household.
