HP Assembly Speaker takes stock of arrangements for winter session at Tapovan from Dec 19

Dharamshala, Dec 14 (UNI)- Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania on Wednesday evening inspected the arrangements being made for the winter session of the Assembly to be held at Tapovan building here from December 19.

He also gave necessary directions to the officials to improve the arrangements. Pathania also asked the officials to take appropriate steps regarding installation of CCTV cameras for surveillance in the Vidan Sabha campus so that the security arrangements can be improved during the session.

The Speaker said that the fourth session of the fourteenth Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh will be held from December 19 to December 23. The session will start at 11 am on next Tuesday. He said that there will be a total of 5 sittings during the session.

Pathania said December 21 has been designated as Non-Official Members’ Working Day. With the release of notification for holding the winter session, information related to questions from members being received at the Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

He said that guidelines have been issued to ensure the security of the Tapovan Legislative Assembly building and its premises during the session. Security will remain as tight as before.

The Speaker said that appropriate guidelines have already been given to the district administration to begin preparations for the winter session.

The repair and cleaning work in the Tapovan building has also been almost completed. Along with this, the Tapovan Legislative Assembly building and the premises will be equipped with artificial milky light.

On the occasion, AC to Deputy Commissioner Subhash Gautam, ASP Hitesh Lakhanpal and officers from various departments were present.
