– Ghee – 2 or 3 tablespoons
– Small Cardamom – 4-5 (Crushed)

Recipe of Mathura Pedhas –

To make Mathura Peda, first mash the khoya with the help of a spoon. Now heat a pan and add khoya to it and keep stirring it continuously until it turns light brown. When it starts to turn golden brown then add 2 spoons of ghee to it and fry it till it becomes golden brown.

If the khoya is getting dry, add 2 tablespoons of cream milk and stir it till the milk dries up. Now turn off the heat but keep stirring the khoya continuously for a while. This is because the khoya can stick when the pan is heated. Now mix half of the powdered sugar in it and mix well. Now you can make Pedhas from this mixture.

To make Peda, take a small portion of this mixture in a hand and give it a round shape, now take it in the palm and press it lightly so that it takes shape like a Pedha. Now take cardamom powder and powdered sugar mix on a plate, put this Pedha on the plate. Your special Mathura Pedhas are ready. Offer these Mathura Pedhas to Lord Krishna on Janmashtami.
