Letter to Ram Mandir Trust – ‘There is a Tomb of Muslims, How Can a Grand Temple be Built’
Ayodhya : Policenama Online – Nine Muslim people of the area have written a letter to Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust built for the proposed Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He has appealed not to build a new Ram temple on the tomb of Muslims. It has been said in the letter that ‘Do not build a new Ram temple in an area of 1480 square meters around Babri Masjid’. It has been said that the government’s use of 67 acres of land for a Ram temple means completely snatching Muslims’ claims and is contrary to the law.
According to a report, it has been said in the letter that ‘Even though the graves are not visible on the spot today, there were graves of Muslims on 4-5 acres of land there. In such a situation, how can a temple be built there?
‘A grand Ram temple cannot be built on the tomb of Muslims’
9 Muslim citizens, in a letter sent to the trust through a lawyer, said that the government has given 67 acres of land acquired by the central government in Ayodhya in 1993 after the Supreme Court’s decision to construct the Ram temple. There were graves of Muslims on this land. The Center did not even consider that a grand Ram temple could not be built on the tomb of Muslims. It is against religion.

You must consider whether the foundation of Ram temple can be laid on the tomb of Muslims. It will have to be decided by the management of the trust. According to the report, citing historical facts in the letter, it has been said that 75 Muslims were killed in the riots of 1855 and all were buried here.
During the budget session 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in the Lok Sabha that 67 acres of land acquired in Ayodhya has been given to the Ram Mandir Trust. The PM said that Uttar Pradesh has agreed to give five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board as directed by the Supreme Court in the Ayodhya case.
The PM had said, ‘Supreme Court gave the decision in favor of Ram temple. It also asked to give 5 acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board. Major decisions have been taken as per the decision of the Supreme Court.’
