Pune: Police arrested a 27-year-old man for sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl in Bibwewadi area. The accused allegedly beat up the minor when she raised objection. for objecting to his doings, the police said.
The arrested accused has been identified as Bashir Makdoom (27). He was arrested after the victim’s mother lodged a complaint at Bibwewadi police station.
According to police, the accused knew the victim. Two days ago, he lured the girl under the pretext of taking her to a medical shop but instead took her to a secluded place on a hill in the Tilekar Nagar area of Kondhwa. Later, he began sexually assaulting the girl. When the girl opposed, he beat her up with a wooden rod and fled from the spot.
The girl then came home and informed her mother about the whole incident. Her mother immediately rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint.
