Mission Zero Cattle Run Over drive by Pune Division

Pune, Dec 30 (UNI)- To ensure passenger safety and punctuality, the Pune Division of Central Railway has launched a drive, called ‘Mission Zero Cattle Run Over’, to counsel the cattle owners in the division by P Way supervisor and Railway Protection Force, under guidance of Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway manager.

“Everyone is informed that there is a possibility of serious accidents due to pet animals on railway tracks and railway premises, and this seriously disrupts the journey of lakhs of railway passengers every day. To ensure passenger safety and punctuality, all of you are requested not to allow your animals in the railway area and cooperate with the Railways to avoid the accidents.”

In case, any animals are found coming into the railway premises or near the railway tracks or in case of an accident, the railway administration will take necessary action against the animal owners under section 154 of the Railway Act and other related sections, said a press release here on Saturday.
