Outrage Mounts Among People as Pune City Witnesses Two Heinous Molestation Cases Against Women, Including Minor

Pune: A startling incident has come to light in the Mundhwa area where a young man molested a minor girl in the society’s elevator. This incident took place in Ghorpadi on Monday, March 25, at around 6 p.m. The Mundhwa police have registered a case against a young man under the POCSO Act.

A 17-year-old girl filed a complaint in this regard at Mundhwa police station on March 26. As per the police information, the victim girl was taking some food to her grandmother. At around 6 p.m., the girl went into the elevator to go to her house. At that time, the accused, Shahid Zakir Shaikh, 30, came inside the lift and molested the girl by touching her inappropriately.

Furthermore, the accused made unwelcome advances towards her and attempted to outrage her modesty. The next day, the accused also called the victim girl and spoke obscenely with her. After that, a girl filed a police complaint against the accused at Mundhwa police station. Taking urgent note of it, Mundhwa Police booked the accused under IPC 354. The police also invoked the POCSO Act against the accused.

In a separate concerning incident, a young woman who went for a walk with her friend was molested by an unknown young man who came from behind on a bike.

As per the police complaint, the 23-year-old girl was walking with her friend on Monday, March 25, at 11.45 p.m. on the road of Koregaon Park Lane 2. At that time, one accused came speedily from behind on a bike and touched her inappropriately. The accused also attempted to molest her by speaking obscenely and acting salaciously.

After that, the girl immediately filed a police complaint against an unknown accused at Koregaon Park Police Station. The police are conducting further investigations.
