Preparation to Welcome Rafale, 3 km Area of Ambala Airbase Declared ‘No Drone Zone’

Delhi : The first batch of five Rafale aircraft coming from France will reach India on 29 July. These five Rafale aircraft will reach India completing a distance of 7 thousand kilometers. These Rafale aircraft are to be included in the Indian Air Force fleet at Ambala. Ambala Air Base is also now fully ready to welcome Rafael.

Security arrangements have also been tightened for Ambala air base in view of the arrival of Rafale planes coming to India. Now 3 km radius of Ambala airbase has been declared as no drone zone. Drones will be completely banned within three kilometers of the airbase. If anyone violates it then action will be taken on it. Giving information about the settlement regarding the airbase in Ambala, DSP Ram Kumar of Ambala Cantonment gave this information. He also said that it is a matter of pride for Ambala and if anyone violates the rules then strict action will be taken against him.

The fighter aircraft Rafale will be deployed at Ambala Airbase, about 300 km from the China border. Due to this, strong arrangements have been made in the Ambala airbase also regarding Rafael. The administration has taken tough measures at Ambala airbase in view of security.

There was an agreement with France in 2016 on 36 Rafale aircraft. This is the first batch of Rafale aircraft to be received by India after this. However, due to the Corona crisis there was a slight delay in delivery of the aircraft. According to the agreement, India has to get 36 Rafale aircraft in 2 years.

According to the Indian Air Force, the first batch of five Rafale jets will join the fleet at Ambala airbase in India on 29 July. However it will be decided according to the weather. The final induction ceremony will take place in the second fortnight of next month. The 36 jets included in the two squadrons will be part of the Indian Air Force over the next two years. The first squadron will be operational from Ambala in the western region. The other one will be stationed at Hashimara in West Bengal.
