Pune: Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Nab 20-Year-Old Criminal; Seize Illegal Pistol and Cartridge Worth Rs 40 Thousand From Him

Pune: Bharti Vidyapeeth Police made a swift arrest of a 20-year-old criminal on Wednesday for allegedly carrying an unlicensed pistol and a live cartridge. Police arrested the accused and seized valuables worth Rs 40 thousand from him, including a pistol and a cartridge.

The arrested individual has been identified as Radhemohan alias Munna Sitaram Pise, a resident of Yashodeep Chowk, Warje Malwadi, Pune. Bharati police made this arrest on Wednesday, February 7, while the accused was travelling from Bhumkar Chowk to Swami Narayan Temple.

Police Constable Chetan Gore, Mahesh Baravkar, Nilesh Jamdade, and Nilesh Dhamdhere of the investigation team of Bharti Vidyapeeth police station received a tip-off regarding a young man standing on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway with a pistol on his waist. After ascertaining the information, the investigation team went to the place and searched for the accused in the area.

In the subsequent investigation, police found the accused with an unlicensed pistol and a live cartridge in his possession. The police team quickly detained the accused and captured valuables worth Rs 40 thousand from him, including a pistol and a cartridge.

This operation was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police Western Regional Division Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone 2 Smartana Patil, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Swargate Division Nandini Vagyani by the team of Senior Police Inspector D. S. Patil, Police Sub-Inspector Dhiraj Gupta, Police Constable Chetan More, Nilesh Dhamdhere, Mahesh Baravkar, Sachin Sarpale, Nilesh Jamdade, Shailesh Sathe, Mangesh Pawar, Harshal Shinde, Avadhut Jamdade, Abhijeet Jadhav, Dhanaji Dhotre, Sachin Gade, Nilesh Khairmode, Abhinay Chaudhary, Rahul Tambe, and Vikram Sawant.
