Pune: A 20-year-old girl living in Ghorpadi village has lodged a police complaint of sexual exploitation against the accused by cajoling her into a fake marriage promise at Wanwadi police station. Accordingly, police registered a case under IPC 376, 376/2/N, against the accused, Chetan Chander Muttal.
As per the information, Muttal is a resident of Mundhwa, Pune. The accused and the victim have been known to each other since 2016. In 2016, the accused and the victim first met on Facebook. After that, both started talking to each other, which further led to a love affair between them.
The accused purportedly proposed to the girl for marriage and maintained physical relations with her. As per the complaint, he took the girl to various locations in Pune and established physical relations with her. The girl initially did not say anything against this, as she was hoping to get married to the accused.
However, her dreams were actually shattered when she learned that the accused had married another girl in his hometown. When she confronted the accused about this, the accused shamelessly refused to marry her and asked her to stay away from him.
Disappointed and feeling cheated, the girl reported the incident to Wanwadi police station on Friday and lodged a complaint. Police Sub-Inspector Ajay Bhosle is conducting further investigation.
