Pune Crime Branch Raids Hotels and Apartments: Disrupts Online Prostitution Racket in Balewadi Area (Video)

Pune: The Social Security Cell of the Pune Crime Branch has busted a high-profile Prostitution racket run through WhatsApp (online) in hotels and apartments in Balewadi Area. In this crackdown, police seized six thousand rupees from the accused and rescued 11 young women who were forced into this Prostitution racket.

The police informed that the alleged female Prostitution workers are from various states of the country, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Based on the complaint filed by female police constable Manisha Suresh Pukale, police registered a case against the accused identified as Rahul Madan alias Madan Sanyasi Rocky Kadam, Dinesh alias Mama, Naveen, and Roshan under IPC 370 and 34 and the Prevention of Trafficking in Immoral Persons Act at Chaturshringi Police Station.

A few days ago, the team of the social security department got information about illegal prostitution businesses in hotels and apartments in the Balewadi area. Accordingly, the team first confirmed the authenticity of the news by sending fake customers to the given locations.

After confirming the existence of prostitution rackets in these places, the team of the social security department and the Chaturshringi police station team jointly raided the Hotel Tag House near Mitcon College and the rooms of Sneh Apartment and The Villa Hotel.

After an investigation, police learned that the accused were running this racket through online and social media platforms. By contacting people through social media, they were running this business.

Police rescued sex workers following the raids and seized six thousand rupees from the accused. Chaturshringi police are conducting further investigation to delve deep into the roots of this racket and to find out the operation of other such sex rackets in the city.
