Businessman ends life due to financial deal gone sour ! Yerawada police arrest Hemant Bhandari, Monish alias Tinu Bhandari; five, including Harshal Baldota and Kiran Pawar, booked

Pune: Policenama online  – Pune Crime | A businessman hanged himself to death as he had given an advance to a land owner and also lent some money amounting to Rs 61.50 lakh. He did not get the land nor the refund of his money. Hence, Ajay Kumar Virdichand Bedmutha, a resident of Shastri Nagar, took the extreme step. (Pune Crime)

 

Hemant Mohanlal Bhandari (60) and Monish alias Tinu Hemant Bhandari (22), both residents of Khed, have been held. Aarti Monish Bhandari (28), Harshal alias Tinku Madanlal Baldota (45), a resident of Adinath Society, Kiran Mahadu Pawar (27), a resident of Khed, have been booked. Victim’s wife Pratima Ajay Kumar Bedmutha (40), a resident of Shastri Nagar, lodged a complaint with the Yerawada police station.

 

The incident took place between 2018 and August 24, 2022.

 

According to the police, Ajay Kumar Bedmutha used to invest in the share market. He had lent money to Bhandari and others. The advance money that Bedmutha had given to the land owner was taken by Bhandari from the owner without Bedmutha’s knowledge.

 

Bedmutha demanded a refund of Rs 61.50 lakh from them. However, he did not get it. Moreover, Hemant and Monish Bhandari also took Bedmutha’s car for some work, which they have not returned. This put a tremendous pressure on Bedmutha, who hanged himself at his residence.

 

The accused have been booked for abetment of suicide. API Alekar is investigating the case.
