Pune Crime | Four arrested for snatching Rs 50,000 from a senior citizen on Bajirao Road
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | An incident of snatching a bag belonging to a senior citizen on Bajirao Road at Chitale Chowk took place in broad daylight. The bag contained Rs 50,000. The Vishrambaug police arrested four persons in this regard.
An offence of dacoity has been registered against the arrested identified as Ali Asagar Iqbal Naze (38) and Yasin Imam Shaikh (24), both residents of Thane, Raj alias Rajesh Radheshyam Singh (35), a resident of Vashi Naka, and Ravindra Vasant Panchal (50), a resident of Kalyan.
Prakash Upalkar (59), a resident of Shukrawar Peth, lodged a complaint in this regard. According to the police, Upalkar was walking along the road near Chitale Chowk at around 12.30 pm on Friday. He had a cloth bag containing Rs 50,000. The accused followed him on a motorbike and snatched his bag and escaped.
The Vishrambaug police checked the CCTV footage in the area immediately after the incident, which was recorded. They traced the accused by analyzing the footage and arrested the culprits. API Nimbalkar is investigating the matter.
