Youth held for sending obscene messages to girl’s relatives from fake social media account
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A 23-year-old youth has been arrested by the Alankar police for sending objectional messages from a fake Instagram account of a 21-year-old girl to her relatives. When the cyber police started a probe, they came to know that the girl’s colleague was the culprit. (Pune Crime)
The youth has been identified as Jaymeen Riteish Chawda (23), a resident of Bhelkenagar, Kothrud. A 21-year-old girl has filed a complaint at the Alankar police station.
According to the police, the complainant is working in a private company. Her colleague Jaymeen Chawda created her fake Instagram account. He sent obscene and objectionable messages to her relatives to malign her and molested her.
The incident had happened on February 9 and 10. When the complainant came to know, she had lodged a complaint at the cyber police station. After investigation, the police realised that her colleague Jaymeen Chawda was the culprit. PI Patil is investigating the case.
