Pune: On Thursday morning, at 11 a.m., a group of four people physically assaulted a person who went to confront them about their alleged molestation of a girl. Furthermore, the accused also injured a worker by attacking him with scissors, who went to settle the dispute between them. This incident took place on Thursday, March 14, at the Aziburans construction site in Undri.
Narayan Hirappa Jadhav, residing near Bhujbal Township, Hadapsar, registered a complaint about the case at Kondhwa Police Station. Accordingly, police booked Shahzad Shah, Akram Ali, Mahmud Qureshi, and other unidentified persons under IPC 354 (a)(d), 324, 506, 504, and 34.
As per the police information, the plaintiff is a building constructor, and he learned that a few workers at his site chased and molested one of its lady workers on Wednesday. The plaintiff had also learned about such complaints earlier.
Therefore, on Thursday, the plaintiff went to confront and warn the concerned workers regarding it. However, enraged by it, the accused unleashed a heavy physical assault on the plaintiff. Meanwhile, when another worker from the construction site attempted to intervene and save the plaintiff, the accused also injured him by attacking him with scissors. The accused also threatened the plaintiff.
Assistant Police Inspector Lekhaji Shinde is conducting further investigation into the case.
