Pune : Pune News | Wagholi and Kolwadi road works were delayed after the collapse of the MVA government last year. “However, we have joined the government now. These projects will be expedited,” said MLA Sunil Tingre.
Funds have been granted under the MPLAD, MLA, village funds as well as under the 15th Financial Commission and Jan Suvidha. Works such as roads, drainage lines, concretisation, school and toilets will be done using these funds. A ground-breaking ceremony of various works amounting to Rs 2.04 crore was done by MLA Tingre. He was addressing villagers on the occasion.
Sarpanch Sitaram Undre, Market Committee Director Ramkrushna Satav, former Deputy Sarpanch Prakash Sawant, Uttam Undre, Krushna Undre, gram panchayat member Rupesh Undre, Seema Sawant, Jayashree Hakare, Varsha Undre, formar Sarpanch Shakuntala Undre, Dr Shivdeep Undre, Sanjay Undre, Appasaheb Murkute, Hanumant Undre, Ravindra Kakade and Surekha Undre were present. Tribute was paid to Late MP Girish Bapat.
MLA Tingre said, “Manjari Khurd-Kolwadi road widening work has dragged on. However, the work will not progress till compensation to the affected farmers is paid. I am trying to give maximum funds to this only village in the Wadgaon Sheri assembly constituency.”
“A survey is being carried out for the water supply scheme. Soon the plan will be approved. More funds will be sought for the village as our leader Ajit Pawar is the finance minister now,” he said.
He added: “The village will be developed if villagers suggest development works. They should supervise works being done in the village. If you notice any cheating by the contractor, action will be taken quickly.”
Sai Ganesh Credit Co-operative Society Vice-Chairman Ashok Avhale and Chintamani High School Principal Balasaheb Newale took efforts for the success of the function.
