Pune: On the occasion of Dasara Melava of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) this year, MNS chief Raj Thackeray declared his unconditional support for the Mahayuti alliance. After that, Raj Thackeray held his first public campaign meeting in Kokan in support of BJP leader and Union Minister Narayan Rane. After that, Raj Thackeray is taking his second public meeting for the BJP’s Pune Lok Sabha candidate, Murlidhar Mohol.

The Mahayuti organised a public rally of Raj Thackeray on May 10 at 6 p.m. in the Sarasbaug area of Pune. Important leaders of the BJP and MNS worked out the plan for Raj Thackeray’s meeting, and they informed that all preparations for the meeting are complete.

There is a significant chunk of young people in the city who follow Raj Thackeray and MNS. In the last few years, MNS has consistently increased its electoral presence in the city. Therefore, it is said that Raj Thackeray’s proposed meeting will shift a large number of MNS followers towards Mahayuti’s side.

For tomorrow’s meeting, all Mahayuti workers and office bearers have unitedly joined the preparation for Mohol’s campaign. MNS leaders said that the gathering anticipates a large turnout, and as a result, they are implementing additional precautions to ensure minimal inconvenience for the general public.

In Pune, Mahayuti’s Murlidhar Mohol is facing the challenge of Mahavikas Aghadi’s Ravindra Dhangekar and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s Vasant More. Notably, both opponents of Murlidhar Mohol, such as Ravindra Dhangekar and Vasant More, were earlier into the MNS. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what Raj Thackeray will say about these candidates.
