Pune: Sahkarnagar Police have successfully managed to apprehend the accused, who had circulated an obscene video of a girl on social media platforms. The police detained the culprit from the five-star hotel in Goa, where the accused was working.
The detained person in this case is identified as Vinay Maruti Shekapure, 23. Shekapure is originally a resident of Nanded and is currently working in a five-star hotel in Goa.
In this regard, a victim girl lodged a complaint against the accused at the Sahakarnagar police station on January 18. The girl complained that the accused initially forced her to make an obscene video call to him, and he secretly recorded that call. After a few months, when the girl broke up with him, the enraged accused angrily made those videos viral on social media platforms.
After a girl filed a complaint in this case at Sahakarnagar police station on January 18, the team from Sahakarnagar police station was immediately dispatched to Goa to search for the accused. After the intense search of four days, the police successfully detained the accused from the hotel where he is working.
When the victim was interrogated thoroughly, he confessed his crime. Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Surendra Malale, Hadapsar police are further delving into the case.
This performance was carried out by the team of Police Sub-Inspector of Investigation Team Rahul Khandale, Assistant Police Faujdar Sopan Navadkar, a team of Police Constables Amol Pawar, Nilesh Shivtare, Sagar Sutkar, and Nikhil Rajivade under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Ritesh Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police Western Regional Division Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone-2 Smartana Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police Nandini Vagyanni, and Senior Police Inspector Surendra Malale.
