Pune woman dies during dental surgery ahead of marriage

Pune : Policenama Online – A 23-year-old woman who was undergoing dental surgery allegedly died on Saturday at a hospital in Nigdi. Her relatives have alleged that she died due to negligence of doctors and have given complaint to Pimpri-Chinchwad police.

The deceased has been identified as Dhanashree Jadhav. She was undergoing treatment at Sterling Hospital, Nigdi.

For the past few years, Dhanashree was taking treatment with Dr Patil and his wife. On April 24, she had undergone surgery but there was heavy bleeding. The doctors were not able to treat her and finally on May 4 (Saturday) she died, her parents said.

Police inspector Nikalje of Nigdi police station said that further action will be taken based on post-mortem report and expert doctors committee report.

On the other hand, Dr Ram Patil, the accused doctor, said that there was no negligence and all medical procedures were followed. “I am co-operating in investigation”, he said.
