Retired ACP cheated of ₹60 lakh; Three accused threaten him of causing financial loss and extort ₹6 lakh

Pune : Policenama online Pune Crime News | A man was cheated by taking ₹60 lakh from him under the guise of buying cheap agricultural land for him in Bhor taluka. The retired ACP has lodged a complaint (194/23) with the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Accordingly, the police have lodged an FIR against Rajesh Ankush Pote, Sandesh Ankush Pote and Priyanka Nilesh Suryavanshi, all residents of Kudle Patil Residency, Vadgaon Budruk. The incident has been going on since 2015 January.

 

According to the police, Rajesh Pote, Sandesh Pote and Priyanka Suryawanshi won the trust of the victim and told him that they will buy cheap agricultural land for him and took ₹60 lakh from him. However, they did not buy any land for him.

 

When the victim demanded his money back, the accused came to his residence at Bhosale Nagar and threatened him with causing financial loss. When the victim was ACP, they took ₹6 lakh from him in March 2021. After the victim retired, he lodged a complaint and an FIR of fraud and extortion. PSI Shinde is investigating the case.
