Gonda, Dec 22 (UNI)- Three persons were killed and five others injured when a car rammed into a tree after hitting cyclists in Chhapiya area of Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh, a police official said here on Friday.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Radhey Shyam Rai said that the accident took place near Majhrethi village when the car slipped into a pit and rammed into the tree after hitting the cyclists.
“Eight persons, including the cyclists, were injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital,” he said.
However, three injured persons Gokaran (30), Istikaar (30) and Siraj Ahmed alias Sudhu were declared dead by the doctors, Rai said.
