Baghpat (UP), Dec 27 (UNI)- Two people were killed and 15 others injured when a tourist bus rammed into a stationary truck in the Khekra area of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, where the bus carrying pilgrims from Punjab collided with the stationary truck early in the morning.
“Two passengers, identified as Seema (44) and Mandeep (38), were killed on the spot, whereas 15 others were injured,” they said. Police sources said that the injured have been admitted to the district hospital.
“The victims were returning from Vrindavan when the incident took place. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination,” they said.
