Nashik : Policenama online – A woman was allegedly raped multiple times in a lodge in Trimbakeshwar, Nashik by one accused Azad Shaikh. In her police complaint, the woman said that Shaikh took her to a lodge by force and raped her several times.
When the woman tried to escape, Shaikh threatened to kill the woman’s four-year-old daughter whom he had also taken to the lodge. The woman has alleged that Shaikh placed a knife on the infant daughter and threatened to kill her. Shaikh kept the woman and her daughter in the lodge for the entire night. Shaikh then took her to his friend’s house where Shaikh continued to rape her.
Satpur police in Nashik have apprehended the accused and have registered a complaint made by the woman.
After releasing the woman, Shaikh tried to flee from Nashik. But before that, the woman rushed to the Satpur Police Station and lodged a complaint against Shaikh. The accused was planning to escape from the Nashik railway station. The police received information about his whereabouts just as he was waiting for the train. The police immediately rushed to Nashik railway station where they managed to catch him.
The police registered a case under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code against accused Shaikh based on the complaint made by the aggrieved woman. Police Sub Inspector Shyam Jadhav has initiated a probe in the case.
