Pune : Policenama online – A 37-year-old beautician was sexually exploited for three years. The accused has also cheated the victim by taking money cash and online, amounting to Rs 2.60 lakh. He also took away her jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. An offence has been registered against a man at the Sangvi police station. (Pune Crime)
The accused has been identified as Deepak Atmaram Shendge, a resident of Bhosari. The victim lodged a complaint at the Sangvi police station. According to the police, the victim is divorced. She had registered her name to get married again on a matrimonial website. She got to know Shendge on this website. He then won her confidence and established physical relations with her. On different pretexts, he took Rs 1.90 lakh cash and Rs 1.70 lakh online. He also took her jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh. Later, she demanded her money and jewellery back. However, the accused kept dilly-dallying. He also blackmailed her by saying that he had her intimate photos, which he could show to her family members. Fed up with his torture, she finally approached the police. The police booked him for rape, blackmail and financial cheating.
