Bengal now a hub of anti-national activities: Suvendu
Kolkata, Dec 15 (UNI)- Accusing West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of creating an eco-system that nurtures urban Naxals, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Friday alleged that the state has become a hub of “anti-national activities”.
Adhikari launched into an all-out attack against the Trinamool government after purported photos of alleged Parliament security breach mastermind Lalit Jha surfaced.
Taking to X, Adhikari said, “Mamata Banerjee has successfully created an ecosystem in WB which nurtures Urban Naxals, encourages Tukde Tukde Gang, provides safe passage to illegal immigrants & intruders and facilitate their stay by helping create documentation. “
“Unfortunately the state has become a Hub of Anti National Activities and a sanctuary & breeding ground for those who harbour anti-national interests,” he stated.
State BJP President Sukanta Majumdar said, ” Arrests have been made in connection with the security breach at Parliament, including Lalit Jha. However, photos with TMC MLA Tapas Roy, TMC Youth Congress General Secretary Soumya Bakshi, and TMC Leader Rajesh Shukla suggest a disturbing connection. “
“The pictures subtly hint at TMC’s deep involvement in the security breach. Why is Mamata Banerjee silent on this matter? What could be the reason behind her silence? ” Majumdar questioned.
“Lalit Jha, the mastermind of the attack on our Temple of Democracy, had been in close association with TMC’s Tapas Roy for a long time… Isn’t this proof enough for an investigation into the connivance of the leader? ” he further asked.
BJP IT cell National Convenor Amit Malviya lashed out at Banerjee and said she couldn’t remain silent on Lalit Jha’s association with “her senior party leader Tapas Roy”.
“It is not a surprise that TMC MPs, scared of their party’s association emerging with those who breached Parliament security, were creating ruckus. This is a new low even by TMC’s low standards,” alleged Malviya.
