Patna, Dec 29 (UNI)- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Friday welcomed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar becoming JD(U) president again, saying both the constituents of Grand Alliance would work further on its agenda.

Yadav told media persons here it is good that Kumar has taken the responsibility of president of JD(U) again. He had the been president of JD(U) earlier as well, he pointed out.

The Deputy Chief Minister, while responding to queries about remark of BJP leaders, that closeness of Singh with RJD was the reason behind decision of Kumar to take command of his party, said that saffron party leaders were often found indulged in making unnecessary statements.

BJP leaders had nothing to do with redressal of issues of public importance, and their body language and statements were reflection of the the fact that they were frightened after two large parties in Bihar came together, he added.

” BJP is well aware of the fact that Grand Alliance had crossed 170 mark in 2015 Bihar Assembly election”, Yadav said, adding that the saffron party had nothing to cheer as Grand Alliance government was intact and functioning smoothly with all its allies working together in tandem with one other.

He also ridiculed RLJD president Upendra Kushwaha saying it was his bad luck or fault in decision making, an oblique reference to the fact that he did not get much importance from BJP after deserting Grand Alliance early this year.

As it is, in a dramatic development, Lalan Singh stepped down as president of JD(U) during its national executive committee meeting in New Delhi today. Singh, however, had dismissed any speculation over his resignation last night while talking to media persons.

Kumar on Thursday had also described the national executive committee meeting of his party as routine one and nothing special.
