Budget 2021 Live : Opposition creates ruckus over FM Nirmala Sitharaman’s statement on Agriculture

New Delhi : The country’s general budget is being presented today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is reading the budget speech in Lok Sabha. Everyone is eyeing this budget to revive the stagnant economy in the Corona crisis. Tax or employment, the country has high expectations from this budget on every front.

‘Government dedicated to farmers’, Nirmala Sitharaman
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the budget speech that the government is working towards doubling the income of farmers.

Nirmala Sitharaman said that the Modi government has transferred nearly three times the amount in the accounts of farmers, compared to the UPA government.

The Finance Minister also added that in every sector farmers have been provided help by the Modi government, MSP of pulses, wheat, paddy and other crops has been increased.

Announcement for Agri-Fishing Sector
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the ownership plan will now be implemented across the country. Credit target of agriculture is being increased to 16 lakh crores. Operation Green Scheme has been announced, which will cover many crops and benefit the farmers.

On behalf of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman it was said that five fishing harbors will be prepared as hubs of economic activity. Fish Landing Center will be developed in Tamil Nadu.

One country-one ration scheme has been launched for the migrant laborers across the country. A web-portal will be started, which will contain data associated with the migrant worker. Women will be allowed to work in all shifts, adequate security will also be given for night shifts. A big announcement has been made for the MSME sector and the budget has been increased.
