CBI Lodges FIR Against 6 Including Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput Case
Mumbai : CBI registers FIR in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Took responsibility for investigation from Bihar Police. The CBI has approved the FIR registered by the Bihar Police. In this, a total of 6 people have been accused, including Rhea Chakravati, her relatives and friends. Others named in the FIR are Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty, father Indrajit Chakraborty, other Sandhya Chakraborty, Rhea’s associate and Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi.
The CBI took over the investigation of the 34-year-old actor yesterday after the Centre handed them the case on Bihar government’s recommendation. The CBI today formed a special team which will now start their investigation. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14. If sources are to be believed, the CBI is expected to get cooperation from the Mumbai Police, a letter has been written to take documents from the Bihar Police.
Sushant committed suicide by hanging himself in his Mumbai home on 14 June. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday recommended a CBI inquiry into Sushant’s death on the request of Sushant’s father KK Singh. Apart from this, many other political leaders have also demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.
On the complaint of K. K. Singh, Bihar Police registered a case against Rhea Chakraborty on 25 July. Sushant’s father had filed an FIR against Rhea in Patna accusing her of cheating and threatening his son. Sushant’s family has also accused Rhea of keeping Sushant away from them.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also initiated a money laundering investigation based on the FIR of the Patna Police. The agency has also summoned Rhea for questioning on Friday.
