Davos: Agreements worth Rs 88,420 cr for investments in Maharashtra signed

Davos, Jan 17 (UNI) – In presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in Davos on Wednesday, investment MoUs worth Rs 42,520 crore were signed with various companies.

 

According to the official statement,in this way, investment agreements worth around Rs. 88,420 crores have been signed so far, and the process of agreement with related industries regarding other projects is underway.

 

Discussions were also conducted with Bank of Japan regarding Supa Industrial Estate.

 

USA’s New Era Cleantech Solution’s Rs 20,000 crore coal gasification project at Bhadravati in Chandrapur district (15,000 jobs), Britain’s Varad Ferro Alloys’ Rs 1,520 crore steel project at Charmoshi in Gadchiroli district (2,000 jobs), Israel’s Rajuri Steels and Alloys subsidiary in Chandrapur district.Rs 600 crore steel project here (1000 jobs), Portugal’s Elite Plast Auto Systems’ Rs 400 crore plastic automotive project at Pimpri in Pune district (2000 jobs) and Gogoro Engineering and Badway Engineering’s Rs 20,000 crore investment auto project (30,000employment at various places in the state) such agreements were signed on today.

 

Also Japan Bank’s Executive Managing Director Shigeto Hashiyama held a meeting with Mr Shinde at Maharashtra Hall. The Chief Minister said that among the eleven industrial estates in the country which have been set up in cooperation with the Japanese Bank, Supa MIDC is providing good electricity, water and connectivity to the industrial park.

 

An environment conducive to industries has been created here and the ecosystem of the industrial park was also discussed.
