Ahmedabad : The agitation of farmers in the country against agricultural laws is gaining momentum. Farmers who have been camping on Delhi’s borders for the past one week are still adamant. Talks between farmers’ leaders and the government in Delhi the previous day did not reach a settlement and will resume on December 5. Now the Congress has also stepped in to oppose the agriculture bill.

The Gujarat Congress will hold a rally in support of farmers in all districts today. State President Amit Chavda tweeted about this. He wrote, “‘Hallaball’ in all districts of Gujarat against the BJP government’s anti-farmer black law. On Friday, December 4, all farmers join to raise their voice against the black law passed by the BJP government to eliminate farmers.”

After talking to farmers’ leaders today, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, “Farmers are worried about two or three issues.” The government is discussing with an open mind. Talks were held with the farmers in a good atmosphere today. Farmers are worried about the new APMC Act. The Government of India will consider strengthening the APMC and increasing its use.

He also said that the fourth phase of the meeting has been completed today. The government will meet with the union on December 5 at 2 pm and then reach a final decision.
