Ujjain : Under the Ujjwala scheme in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, gas companies have dumped nearly double cylinders in their distributors’ warehouses, against consumer demand. In a way, gas companies have made distributors’ warehouses dangerous bombs than Corona. In such a situation, the distributors are scared about the possible accident. Secondly, the district administration is giving them equal instructions.

Under the Ujjwala scheme, the government has instructed to give three tanks free for three months to poor and money has been deposited in the consumer’s account. There are instructions to companies that in the lockdown, if the distributor is not able to send the demand draft, then the cylinder should be supplied on credit.

Contrary to the demand of distributors, companies are sending them cylinders indiscriminately. The condition is that almost double cylinders are kept in warehouses.

The distributors say on the condition of anonymity that the company’s officers are dumping extra cylinders at all distributors in the division as they meet their sales targets. All these are also being dumped on debt without distributors’ concern or demand. At present the situation is that every distributor has more cylinders than its warehouse capacity. According to the Explosives Act, possessing more cylinders than the warehouse capacity is a crime.
