Sensex down over 300 pts
Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Wednesday tumbled down 301.58 points at 62,667.55 in opening trade as selling was seen in Metal, Power, Oil and Gas and Realty stocks.
The Nifty too slipped 71.05 pts at 18,562.80.
The Sensex registered intra-day high and low at 62,876.77 and 62,637.73 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra-day high and low at 18,603.90 and 18,543.70 respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up 0.10 pc and small Cap by 0.25 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.
The losers were SBI by 1.80 pc to Rs 582.20, HDFC by 1.33 pc to Rs 2657.20, Reliance Industries by 1.25 pc to Rs 2488, Bajaj Finserv by 0.99 pc to Rs 1450.70 and NTPC Ltd by 0.96 pc to Rs 175.
The gainers were Sun Pharma by 1.61 pc to Rs 974.60, Tech Mahindra by 1.49 pc to Rs 1115.50, Asian Paints by 1.04 pc to Rs 3176.10 and HCL Technologies by 0.96 pc to Rs 1146.65.
