Gobardhan Project In Kadus Pune | ‘Gobardhan’ project will be boon to Kadus village in Maha
Pune, Mar (UNI) : The first ‘Gobardhan’ project in the state was implemented at Kadus in Khed taluka. From this project, the village panchayat will get electricity and will save Rs. 8-10 lakh rupees per year on electricity, said the District Information Office here on Friday.
The project was inaugurated by MLA Dilip Mohite Patil, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ayush Prasad, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Milind Tonpe, former G.P. President Nirmala Pansare, Sarpanch Shahnaz Turuk, Village Sevak Balasaheb Mane and were present on the occasion.
This project has been started under the Swachh Bharat Mission of the Central Government to maintain cleanliness in rural areas. One project is being set up in each district of the state and earlier projects have also been set up in Nashik and Jalgaon districts, but this has become the first project in the state to be actually implemented, said statement of DIO.
The district had received Rs 50 lakh from the central government for the project. Kadus village in Khed taluka was selected for setting up the project. Electricity will be generated from this project by using the wet waste from the dhaba in the area, livestock excrement etc. As the electricity will be used for street lights in the village, it will be possible to reduce the expenditure of the Gram Panchayat and spend more on other development works, said the statement.
Compost manure obtained after power generation will be packed and branded and made available to local farmers at cheap rates. This will also enable the Gram Panchayat to get income. As this project will run from the overall waste of the locality, it will also be useful for the cleanliness of the locality.
Dilip Mohite Patil said People have now realized the importance of the project for the cleanliness of the village. So also it will get good support from the villagers. Everyone should cooperate to make this a model project in the state, he added.
Ayush Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Pune said this is the first project to be implemented in the state under Gobardhan Yojana. This project is going to benefit the Gram Panchayat and complement the village cleanliness.
