Hinjewadi police bust gang which committed crimes in Hinjewadi, Paud and Haveli; Six crimes brought to light
PIMPRI : Policenama online – Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime News | The Hinjewadi police have arrested a gang of criminals which recently robbed a man by assaulting him with a sickle near the Chandni Chowk. Apart from the gang leader, the police have also apprehended two minor girls and six crimes committed by them have been brought to light. The police have seized goods worth ₹1.18 lakh. The arrested accused has been identified as Ramdas Baban Kachre (22), hailing from Raigad district but now staying in Donje village. The Hinjewadi police have apprehended his two minor accomplices. On April 1, 2023, the complainant, Nagesh Malke (30), a resident of Kothrud, was talking on his mobile at 11.30 pm on the service road near the Chandni Chowk. The accused forcefully snatched his wallet and tried to take away his mobile. The accused decamped with his motorcycle. An FIR has been registered at the Hinjewadi police station.
A team of Hinjewadi police station checked 65 CCTV footage of different areas like Chandni Chowk, Bavdhan to Lavasa, Paud, Khadakwasla and other places. They found footage which was matching with a criminal on police records in Khadakwasla, Ramdas Baban Kachre. The police started searching for Kachre.
The police laid traps at Sinhagad Paytha, Lavasa, Mutha village and Tamhini Ghat by using disguises but the accused became aware of police presence and they decamped. API Bandu Mare came to know that the accused Kachre was in Bapuji Buva temple in Maan in Mulshi taluka. The police laid a trap and apprehended Kachre and his two minor aides. When they were questioned, they admitted to committing six crimes within the limits of Hinjewadi police station (3), Paud police station (2) and Haveli (1) police stations.
The police have seized a motorcycle, gold chain, mobiles, and weapons totally worth ₹1.18 lakh.
Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, Addl CP Dr Sanjay Shinde, Addl CP Vasant Pardeshi, DCP Dr Kakasaheb Dole, DCP Swapna Gore, ACP Shrikant Disle guided a team of officials including Sr PI Dr Vivek Muglikar, PI (crime) Sunil Dahifale, PI (crime) Sonyabapu Deshmukh, head of the investigation team API Sagar Kate, policemen Bandu Marne, Balkrishna Shinde, Bapusaheb Dhumal, Yogesh Shinde, Kunal Shinde, Kailas Kengle, Vikram Kudal, Arun Narle, Ritesh Koli, Shrikant Chavan, Chandrakant Gadde, Karbhari Palve, Datta Shinde, Amar Rane, Omprakash Kamble, Subhash Gurav, Narel Balsane and Sagar Pandit in taking the action.
