Maharashtra Rains | Weekend rain likely in Pune, 10 other districts
Pune : Policenama online – Dry weather conditions prevailed in Maharashtra in the past some days. However, north Maharashtra reeled under cold weather conditions. However, now there are indications of rainfall in the State. (Maharashtra Rains)
The met office has predicted light to heavy rain at many places in Maharashtra at weekend. Some places may witness a hailstorm.
North Maharashtra, central Maharashtra and Vidarbha are likely to experience cold weather, along with thick fog, for the next two days. Later, in these regions, light to heavy rainfall may occur, along with a hailstorm at some places.
Rain is likely to occur in the next few days in Konkan and south Maharashtra in Satara, Sangli and Solapur districts. Temperatures are likely to rise in these places.
The IMD has predicted rainfall on Saturday in 11 districts, including Pune, Mumbai, Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nashik, Palghar, Thane, Ahmednagar, Ratnagiri and Raigad. Though the met office has not issued any alert for these districts, skies would remain cloudy at weekend in these districts.
Light to medium showers may occur in the western Himalayas during 21-23 January. It may snow at isolated places. It is likely to rain, along with snowfall, in Himachal Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar may witness thick fog for the next two days.
