PUNE: Pune News | For Shiv Sena, NCP and BJP, the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pune is very important for the city’s development. But Shiv Sena (Thackeray group), NCP (Sharad Pawar group) and Congress are going to protest against Narendra Modi. BJP State General Secretary and former mayor Murlidhar Mohol said that the agitators will be stopped by the police or the BJP will give an apt reply.

Mohol told media persons, “The agitations staged by the opposition are of no use. On one hand, the NCP President is going to be on the dais at the Lokmanya Tilak Award ceremony and still, the party is going to stage an agitation. On the other hand, the Tilak family, which is a part of the Congress, is going to bestow the award to PM Modi but the Congress is opposing this. The agitation will be staged by people who have hatred for Modi. On August 1, when PM Modi will be in the city, wherever agitations are staged against him, activists of BJP will stage a counter agitation.”

“PM Modi’s Pune visit or various programmes have not been organised by any political party. Hence, the agitation against the PM by opposition parties is an attempt to spoil the happy mood of Puneites,” Mohol said. He appealed to the Pune police not to allow staging of agitations against PM Modi. Rajesh Pande was also present.
