Mahayuti BJP Pune Lok Sabha Candidate Murlidhar Mohol Promises to Upgrade Pune’s Transportation Infrastructure

Pune : Mahayuti’s Pune candidate, Murlidhar Mohol, yesterday assured Punekars of his commitment to faster, safer, and more affordable transportation. He assured people that he would do everything to make people’s journey through road transportation secure and hassle-free.

Yesterday, a campaign rally was held for his campaigning in Wanwadi, Clover village, Ganga satellite, Netajinagar, Housing Board, and Salunkhe Vihar areas. In this campaign rally, various leaders of Mahayuti, such as MLA Sunil Kamble, Babu Vagaskar, Kalinda Punde, Dhanraj Ghogre, Dilip Giramkar, Makrand Kedari, Dinesh Hole, Sagar Gavane, Komal Shendkar, Sachin Mathurawala, Tatya Shendkar, Maruti Bhadravati, Nilesh Ashok Kamble, Dilip Jambhulkar, Prasad Chaughule, Manoj Chordiya, Nisha Kota, Atul Wanwadikar, and Dinesh Samal participated.

Mohol was speaking at this campaign rally. While addressing the people, Mohol said, “Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) has the country’s most electric and CNG buses in its fleet, marking a significant step towards sustainable urban transportation.” Furthermore, Mohol informed that in the last five years, PMPML has received 150 E-buses through the central government’s FAME-II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) scheme.

He said, “Out of the expected 650 buses, 473 have already been operationalized, with the remaining buses to join soon.” He informed that in all four directions of the city, six e-bus charging depots have been operationalized, and a tender for 500 buses is in the process. He informed that because of electric buses, there is a 70 percent reduction in transportation costs and a 50 percent reduction in carbon emissions. Mohol also promised people to focus on feeder service for the metro network.
