Major Reshuffle in Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
Pimpri-Chinchwad : In anticipation of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, significant changes have been made within the police department of Pimpri-Chinchwad, including the transfer of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sachin Hire to the role of Assistant Police Commissioner in Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Station. The reshuffle also saw Assistant Commissioner Devidas Gheware assume charge of the Dehu Road division, while Assistant Commissioner Raju More takes charge of the Chinchwad division.
Additionally, 13 newly transferred police inspectors have been assigned to various police stations in the city.
These transfers come amidst the preparation for the upcoming general Lok Sabha elections. Last month witnessed a series of transfers within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police, including the relocation of Assistant Commissioner of Police Vitthal Kubde and Dr. Vivek Muglikar. Furthermore, Additional Superintendent of Police Devidas Gheware from Amravati and Assistant Commissioner Raju More from Solapur City Police were also reassigned to Pimpri-Chinchwad Police.
Moreover, as part of a state wide initiative, 130 police inspectors were shuffled across various divisions by the Director General of Police’s office. In Pimpri-Chinchwad alone, 13 police inspectors were redeployed to different police stations.
Explaining the rationale behind these deployments, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Madhuri Kedar Kangane cited administrative imperatives and underscored that these officers are provisionally assigned until further directives.

Inspector Ashok Kadlag: Pimpri Police Station
Shatrughna Mali: Nigdi Police Station
Nivrutti Kolhatkar: Wakad Police Station
Kanhaiya Thorat: Hinjewadi Police Station
Pradeep Rayannawar: Talegaon Dabhade Police Station
Ankush Bangar: Talegaon MIDC Police Station
Jitendra Koli: Chinchwad Police Station
Pramod Wagh: Chakan Police Station
Nitin Gite: Mhalunge Police Station
Vijay Waghmare: Dehu Road Police Station
Furthermore, Police Inspectors Suhas Awhad, Gorakh Kumbhar, and Sandeep Sawant have been appointed to the crime branch office.
