In this regard, Kunal Vasant Barhate (32) from Navi Sangvi lodged a complaint at the Sangvi Police Station on Sunday. The police have registered an FIR under section 420 of the IPC against Sunny Sunil Date from Pune.
According to the police, the accused put an advertisement on the OLX site that he wanted to sell his car. After the complainant expressed his willingness to buy it, the accused actually showed him the car at Shitole Nagar. The complainant bought the car from the accused for Rs 6.70 lakh. Out of the fixed price of the car, the complainant paid Rs 4.50 lakh to the accused online. Then accused Sunny Date did not hand over the car even though the complainant was paying the remaining Rs 2.20 lakh. Kunal Barhate repeatedly called Sunny Date but he did not answer the call. On realising the fraud, Kunal lodged a complaint at the Sangvi Police Station. The Sangvi police are conducting further investigation.
