Nandurbar women police stage a bike rally to mark International Women’s Day
Nandurbar : Policenama online – The Nandurbar police organised a bike rally of women police officers and personnel to mark International Women’s Day. Around 125 women police officers and personnel took part in it. Many women police rode Bullets. The novel rally was conceptualised by Nandurbar Superintendent of Police PR Patil.
The objective behind the rally was to spread the feeling of respect for women in society and to increase the awareness about using the helmet. This was the first such rally of women police in the city. Hence, people had gathered on the roadside to catch a glimpse of the rally. Citizens responded overwhelmingly to the rally. They stood in the galleries and terraces of their homes and showered flowers on the women police in the rally. People were also recording the rally in their mobile phones. SP PR Patil and Addl SP Vijay Pawar also took part in the rally.
