Special IGP Of Nashik Range BG Shekhar Patil inaugurates gym at Navapur police station in Nandurbar district
Nandurbar : Policenama online – Nandurbar Police | It is necessary for police officials to pay attention to their health by doing regular exercise while doing their duties. A gymnasium has been started for police officials, policemen and their family members of the Navapur police station in Nandurbar district.
The inauguration of the gymnasium was done by Special Inspector General of Police of Nashik Range BG Shekhar Patil on February 22 (Tuesday). The Navapur Municipality Mayor, Hemlatha Patil, SP PR Patil and officers and other staff were present on the occasion.
It is the primary responsibility of the police to take care of the security of citizens and they work round the clock to do so. While doing their duty, it is necessary for the police officials to take care of their health by doing regular exercise.
However, due to night patrolling, travelling outside to investigate crimes, bandobast, law and order etc, the police don’t get time to pay attention to their health. Hence, the police suffer from various health problems affecting their health.
SP PR Patil had issued instructions that gymnasiums should be set up at all police stations through people’s participation to ensure that the police officials, policemen and their family members maintain good health. Navapur police station’s Police Inspector Balasaheb Bhapkar set up a gymnasium in an unused room by repairing it.
Special Inspector General of Police of Nashik Range BG Shekhar Patil visited the Nandurbar district as a part of the annual inspection visit. The inauguration of the newly started gymnasium was done by BG Shekhar Patil.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the police officials should take care of their health apart from doing their duties. Hence, it is necessary for them to do regular exercise. Regular exercise also helps in keeping the stress away and it has a positive effect on the health, he said.
Special Inspector General of Police of Nashik Range BG Shekhar Patil, Nandurbar SP PR Patil, Addl SP Vijay Pawar, Sub Divisional Police Officer Sachin Hiray, Local Crime Branch Police Inspector Ravindra Kalamkar, Police Inspector of Navapur police station Balasaheb Bhapkar and other officials and staff were present.
