Pune : Policenama online – Pune-Pimpri ACB Trap | The Pune ACB has arrested a clerk in PCMC’s tender department red handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1 lakh after demanding a bribe of ₹1.05 lakh to prepare the file of work order and send it to the concerned department. (Pune-Pimpri ACB Trap)
The accused has been identified as Dilip Bhavshing Ade (51). The complainant carries out repairs and maintenance of work related to the water department of PCMC. He had bagged a tender. The accused, Dilip Ade, had demanded a bribe of ₹1.05 lakh for preparing a file of the work order and sending it to the required department. After negotiations, he agreed to accept ₹1 lakh and he was caught red handed while accepting the money in the presence of panches on the premises of PCMC.
The action was taken by a team of police officials including PI Pravin Nimbalkar, policeman Chaitan Bhavari, Riaz Shaikh and driver Devkate under the guidance of SP Amol Tambe and Addl SP Suraj Gurav.
