Pimpri: A man kidnapped a girl from her office at gunpoint in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Tuesday (January 19). Police arrested a person identified as Shantanu Chinchwade (25). Reportedly, Shantanu and the girl were previously in a relationship. Eventually, the girl broke up with Shantanu which upset and angered him.
According to police, the abducted girl is an interior designer. The accused abducted the girl in front of the entire office staff at gunpoint and took her to Talegaon area.
Meanwhile, the office staff informed the girl’s father about the incident. The father went to Chinchwad police station and informed about the incident. After receiving information that the accused had gone to Talegaon area with the girl, the police searched the area and released the girl. The accused was taken into custody and interrogation is ongoing in the case.
