Pune | America-born, from a rich family, youth becomes habitual criminal due to addiction
Pune : Policenama online – The Pune police arrested a habitual criminal who is a drug addict. The BundGarden police arrested him for snatching mobile phones of people in the Pune Station area.
It was shocking to learn that the accused was born in America. He is from a well-to-do family. He was indulging in thefts for money.
The accused has been identified as Noel Shaban (23). The Pune Station area is always crowded. Mobile thefts and other such crimes take place in the area frequently. The police were investigating a case and were checking CCTV footage from the area. They spotted Noel in the footage.
The police were on his trail. Finally, he was caught. He confessed his role in several theft cases. Around 18 mobiles and four two-wheelers were recovered from his possession.
Noel was booked in 14 offences. He is a drug addict. His mother is ailing while his father died. His father was an accused in a murder case.
Noel’s grandmother stays in New York. She owns malls there. They have a house in Pune. Noel was born in America. Her grandmother looked after him till he was five. His father later brought him to Pune.
The Bund Garden police arrested Noel and sent him to jail.
