Pune : Policenama online – Pune Crime | A frightening incident has occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad where robbers blew up an ATM. The incident took place on Chimbali-Alandi Road in the Chakan Industrial Area. The robbery took place at an Axis Bank ATM in Chimbali at around midnight.
The ATM is located in a busy area. Locals got panicked due to such an explosion that happened after midnight yesterday.
The shocking thing is that the thieves blew up the ATM to loot the cash and the explosion was so severe that the ATM machine was shattered. It was so strong that the pieces of the broken ATM machine were thrown at some distance.
This is the third such incident in the past one year. The question of why law and order has not been maintained in Pune district under Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has been raised in view of atrocities against women, murders and the use of explosives by criminals to break ATMs.
