Two persons arrested by Haveli police for kidnapping youth


Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime | The Haveli police have arrested two persons for kidnapping a youth from Bhosari for not repaying the loan. The accused had brought him to Kolhewadi and the Haveli police launched a search and released the victim from the accused’s clutches. The two accused have been handed over to the Bhosari police. The accused have been identified as Rahul Sanjay Pawar (39), a resident of Mhalunge, Khed taluka and Nitin Popat Tambe (33), a resident of Nimgaon Khandoba, Khed taluka. Sanjay Pawar is a notorious criminal who has been externed by the Pimpri Chinchwad police.


According to the police, Rohtash Kumar, a resident of Chikhali had taken Rs 5 lakh as loan from Rahul Pawar and Nitin Tambe. He had returned the money with interest but still they were asking for money. Kumar refused to pay more money. Hence, the two accused forced him to sit in a car and abducted him. He was taken to Nimgaon, Khed, Chakan and Khed Shivapur. Later, he was taken to Kolhewadi near Khadakwasla. The Bhosari police gave this information to the Haveli police.


The Haveli police started a search and they saw a suspicious car heading towards Pune. The police stopped the car and questioned the occupants and realised that the accused were in the car.


The Haveli police took them into custody and handed him over to the Bhosari police.
