Fake Facebook account opened of 56-year-old woman; case filed against her husband
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Cyber Crime | Many incidents of opening of fake accounts of young girls and boys and maligning them by posting controversial posts and obscene photos have come to light. However, an incident has come to light wherein a fake account of a 56-year-old woman was opened on Facebook and an obscene message was posted and vulgar photos were uploaded. (Pune Cyber Crime)
A probe by the cyber police revealed that this had been done by the woman’s second husband. The Chandan Nagar police have filed a case against the person opening the fake account and her second husband Barun Bhavesh Karmakar, a resident of Darjeeling, West Bengal.
A 56-year-old woman staying in Kharadi has filed a complaint at the Chandan Nagar police station. The incident took place between one month ago and March 2.
According to the police, the accused opened a fake Facebook account of the complainant. He posted an obscene message “I am a divorcee and I need someone to massage me.’’ The email id of the complainant was also posted. The complainant started getting emails of various people. Obscene photos of the woman and her daughter were also posted. The photos were sent to the mobile of her son-in-law.
The woman had complained to the cyber cell. The police came to know that this had been done by her second husband Barun Karmakar. At present, he stays in Darjeeling.
Police Inspector Sunil Thopte is investigating the case.
