Pune: Girl From Manjari Budruk Find Herself in Forceful Sexual Assault and Abortion; Hadapsar Police Booked Nine, Including Two Doctors
Pune: A disturbing incident of raping a 22-year-old girl, cajoling marriage promises, and further forcing her to have an abortion has come to light in Pune’s Manjri Budruk area. In this regard, a complaint against nine people has been lodged at Hadapsar Police Station.
On Wednesday, February 7, the 22-year-old victim girl living in Manjri Budruk filed a complaint in this regard at Hadapsar police station. Accordingly, a case has been registered against the main accused, Niranjan Bajirao Ghule, his father Bajirao Ghule, his mother, brother-in-law, Malhar Kunjir, friend Sameer Chaudhary, Dr. T. Y. Mote, Dr. Rajshree Mote, and two other unidentified persons under IPC 376/2/N, 313, 504, 506, and 34.
As per the police report, the accused and the victim girl initially met on Instagram in March 2022. After that, the accused befriended the victim and lured her with a fake marriage proposal. Under the guise of a fake marriage proposal, the accused maintained forced physical relations with the girl.
Further, the accused also recorded the girl’s nude video while she was taking a bath and threatened the girl with making it viral. After repeated forceful sexual intercourse, when the victim girl became pregnant, the accused, along with his parents, shockingly forced her to have an abortion.
They also threatened to throw her in the Ujani Dam if she did not listen to them. After that, they forcibly aborted her in a private hospital at Uruli Kanchan against her will.
In this regard, the Assistant Police Inspector, Umesh Rokade, of Hadapsar Police Station is carrying out further investigation.
