Pune | Man from Kolhapur district held for sending obscene message to girl in Pune
Pune : Policenama online – The Pune police have arrested a 30-year-old man from Kolhapur district for sending an obscene message via social media to a girl in Pune by promising to marry her.
After the man sent an obscene message, the girl lodged a complaint at the Swargate police station. The Pune police arrested the man from Karveer taluka in Kolhapur district and brought him to Pune.
The man has been identified as Nilesh Suresh Kamble, a resident of Kerli, Karveer Taluka in Kolhapur district. Some days ago, he got in touch with a girl in Pune via social media. He spoke to the girl and used obscene language on the pretext of marrying her.
He also abused the girl and threatened to damage her reputation on Facebook and Instagram. The girl was frightened and lodged a complaint at the Swargate police station. The police started searching for him based on technical information.
The police were searching for him but he was using different mobile numbers to evade them. During technical investigation, the police came to know that the man is based at Kerli in Karveer taluka in Kolhapur district.
A police team went to Kerli and brought him to Pune. The police are carrying out further investigation.
